Day three on assignment in Ottawa with the Royal couple Prince William and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge. This time they brought the Will and Kate show to the Canadian War Museum to greet war veterans and their families. The amount of time they spend speaking with people at each event it has impressed me. They are not just there to shake as many hands as possible, they spend a fair amount of time with each person they meet. This tour was the first time that I have covered a major event and felt relatively calm the whole time. Those that know me know that I can get a wee bit edgy on these types of gigs. I don’t like surprises, especially when it impedes my ability to make the pictures I want. However, thanks to the amazing planning and wonderful common sense of Terry, Collin, Marc and Norm from the National Press Gallery, everything went amazingly well. The British media keep threatening to steal them from us to run the show across the pond.
